Cocoa Tailgators Name David Aran General Manager

Cocoa, FL — The Cocoa Tailgators are proud to announce David Aran as the organization’s General Manager, bringing a lifelong passion for baseball and a strong background in business, marketing, and community engagement to the leadership team.

Aran steps into the role at an exciting time for the Tailgators as the organization prepares to make its mark both on and off the field in the Cocoa community.

“What excites me most about leading this organization right now is the opportunity to bring a collegiate-level team to Cocoa while continuing to support the development of these talented players,” said Aran. “It also provides a meaningful chance to connect with the community we know best and share the opportunities we are bringing to the area.”

With a clear vision for the fan experience, Aran emphasized that the Tailgators will deliver more than just baseball. Fans can expect “great sportsmanship, entertaining baseball, and a great day out at the ballpark,” creating an atmosphere that welcomes families, locals, and visitors alike.

Aran’s journey to this position is rooted in both professional expertise and a deep love for the game. “This position called for someone who brings together all of my core strengths: a background in business and marketing, a lifelong passion for baseball, and a genuine enthusiasm for connecting with and engaging my community,” he said.

A Florida native, Aran has been involved in baseball since the age of four, beginning in tee ball and continuing through his teenage years, including travel ball across the state. His experience extends beyond playing, having served as a Little League coach and being part of a state championship team with Winter Springs Little League in 2004. Even today, his commitment to the game remains strong, recently completing a season in the Brevard Men’s Wood Bat League.

As the Tailgators prepare for their upcoming season, Aran’s leadership is expected to play a key role in building a competitive team while fostering strong ties within the Cocoa community.
